P.J SOSKO transforma into journalist Hunter S.Thompson

This week I’m sitting down with P.J. Sosko for a new episode of My Views Are My Own podcast.

Actor P.J. Sosko transforms into journalist Hunter S. Thompson emerging throughout the first season of the new MAX original political dramedy series, THE GIRLS ON THE BUS. The central story centers around Sadie McCarthy (Melissa Benoist), an idealist who dreams of a bygone era that includes regular visits from her ghostly conscience, Hunter S. Thompson (Sosko).

Sosko was excited at the chance to bring Thompson to life, adding “Being able to do a deep dive on an iconic character like this, with such an amazing cast who were eager to play, made this an incredible experience. Weirdly, having previously played other profound icons, like Hemingway and photographer Eugene W. Smith on stage, somehow led me to a shorthand with figuring out Hunter.”

Sosko has built a solid career crafting memorable characters spanning film, TV, and stage. His notable credits include roles in the television shows The Equalizer, Reservation Dogs, Chicago Med, Time After Time, Awkwardly, The Blacklist, and the Shudder gothic horror feature film The Last Thing Mary Saw. On the festival circuit, Sosko has earned awards and accolades for his performances in the short films Call of the Clown Horn and The Stranger.
